Worthy bearer of an impressive legacy, the son of the legendary Fela Kuti has continued to make his father’s signature Afrobeat resonate hypnotically around the world for over three decades. Energetic and generous, his shows are a testament to this exuberant musical genre that combines funk and jazz with Nigerian highlife and traditional juju, backed by his monumental band with its soaring sounds of the brass and exultant waves of percussion instruments contending for the spotlight.
His son Mádé Kuti will also be performing, making it a truly multigenerational Afrobeat evening.
