Research has shown that sound, rhythm, and music all play a key role in infant and child development. This fascinating subject is at the heart of the free exhibition Bébé symphonique: Music for Growing, which is being presented in Place des Arts’ exhibition room from April 19 to August 8.

On display will be a selection of 18 giant photos of infants interacting with musical instruments, accompanied by several scientific facts to further your knowledge of the tremendous benefits of music on children.

To complement the exhibition, two interactive terminals will feature all of the photos by Annie Savard-Filion, as well as the Bébé symphonique music album, composed and arranged by conductor Simon Leclerc and performed by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
