MORIDJA KITENGE BANZA

“The idea of the sand is to refer to the street where I grew up which was my childhood territory. I also chose this medium for the sake of finding texture. This series has a subtitle: “Goma.” I am referring to a city in the Congo where since 1994 there has been political instability…and this year a volcanic eruption. In this series, I am combining the trace of the volcano lava with the lines of my hand.”
