ORCHESTRE MÉTROPOLITAIN | CLOSING CONCERT
Information on the activity
Dates to come
This right festive closing concert includes instrumental music from the rarely performed opera Amadis de Gaule by Johann Sebastian Bach’s youngest son. And while Johann Christian Bach composed this last opera shortly before his death, the First Symphony, op. 11, was written when Mendelssohn was only 15 years of age. A highlight is Johann Sebastian Bach’s beloved Double Concerto, one of the most popular violin concertos and unequalled favourite of the concert public.
