ARION ORCHESTRE BAROQUE | FAMILY CONCERT FROM 7 YEARS OLD
Information on the activity
Dates to come
At the turn of the 17th century, European music was undergoing momentous changes. Composers were pushing the limits and revolutionizing musical practices.
Italy saw the birth of opera, its instrumental music was on the rise, as was the art of ornamentation and the appeal of virtuosity. This concert shows how Italian geniuses of the early Baroque were rebels of sorts… as are the musicians who perform their music today!
On the program, sonatas, improvisations and battalias! Works by Antonio Vivaldi, Dario Castello, Giovanni Battista Fontana, Claudio Monteverdi, Tarquinio Merula, Marco Uccellini and Arcangelo Corelli.
