LA POSTE DU PARADIS

Together, Fred Pellerin and Kent Nagano pursue a great OSM tradition with a new symphonic Christmas story! They transport us to the village of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton and its very first post office, run by madame Alice Lavergne. For many years, this village mail service was the only reliable channel for sending and receiving all things: an exclusive connection between the village people and the outside world. Letters, cards, invoices, packages, forms, catalogues: everything went through the service. But led by Alice, stamp-licking also brought communications to the next level and beyond: it is said that the post office of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton extended its operations to include…the afterlife!
