SABRINA RATTÉ | FLORALIA
Information on the activity
Dates to come
From August 21 to October 23, 2021.
Inspired by the writings of feminist cyborg scholarDonna J. Haraway, and science fiction writers Ursula K. Le Guin and Greg Egan, “Floralia” plunges us into a speculative future, where specimens of extinct plants are preserved and displayed in a virtual archive room.
Through editing and visual effects, the archival matter sporadically transforms, provoked by interference caused by flashbacks of the displayed plants, revealing traces of their past that continue to haunt the present. The work is a simulation of ecosystems born from the fusion of technology and organic matter, where past and future coexist.
Opening on August 21, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. With Sabrina Ratté in attendance.
