THE PASSWORD IS VITRINE

To mark its 25th anniversary, the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, conducted by Lorraine Vaillancourt, invites you to the Maison Symphonique for a very special evening. This will be the last performance of the season, on the theme of Classics and Creations, as NEM celebrates a quarter century showcasing eloquent musical works of the 20th and 21st centuries. The program includes Solaris, a stunning creation by Walter Boudreau, plus two “classics”: Claude Vivier’s Bouchara for voice and ensemble, as well as six passages from Alban Berg’s opera Wozzeck, reorchestrated by John Rea, with soloists Nathalie Paulin and John Fanning in the roles of Marie and Wozzeck, and actor Guy Nadon as narrator.
Program :
Claude Vivier, Bouchara
Walter Boudreau, Solaris (creation)
Alban Berg – John Rea, Wozzeck, 21-musician version (6 excerpts)
