Exhibition presented as part of the “Cycles | Music!” event.
This selection of posters from the Cinémathèque québécoise collections inevitably raises one question: how does one represent a musical film? Highlighting the plot and the performers may be an obvious mandate, but there is more: how to graphically render melodies, rhythms, styles? In other words: what is the color of the music? What form does this music take?
