DÉBORDEMENT LITTÉRAIRE | PARCOURS PIÉTON ÉPHÉMÈRE

Information on the activity

September 16, 2020 to February 28, 2021

The starting point for the walks: Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles.

Throughout the FIL, Montrealers will be invited to enjoy an urban stroll with a difference. Sacha Buliard and Émilie Proulx, both graduates of the event-design program at UQAM’s DESS, have created a literary trail that takes a fresh look at the tension between solitude and cohabitation – a tension that has been such a powerful force in our lives in recent months.

Along the way, we will be guided by quotations by Dany Laferrière, Réjean Ducharme, Joséphine Bacon, Kim Thúy, Roland Giguère and Monique Proulx, drawing us down several possible different paths.

Between asphalt and green spaces, the Débordement littéraire will also allow us to see our city with new eyes. It occupies unused spaces, cozy alleyways and other unexpected places in the Quartier des Spectacles, continuing all the way to the Palais des congrès, where the upcoming Salon du livre de Montréal will be held.

Designed by Sacha Buliard and Émilie Proulx.
A co-production of FIL 2020 and the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership.
