A ubiquitous and respected figure on the Montréal world music scene for the last 18 years, Afrodizz is, without question, a true pep machine! Their primary aim is to get people dancing. And it works! In the footsteps of Nigerian artists Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, Afrodizz delivers a funky Afrobeat seasoned with touches of rock and hip-hop, as hypnotizing and energizing as can be. Guitar, bass and percussions, equally robust, are augmented by powerful psychedelic brass instruments that plunge the audience into a euphoric state. Exhilarating!
