Systemic racism has many faces and manifests itself through many institutions. The Québec media industry has the potential to be an important vehicle for change, yet it cannot be denied that the lack of representation, awareness, misinformation and fetishism towards queer, trans, black and racialized communities only contributes to their stigmatization.

In this panel facilitated by Kama La Makerel, in the presence of activists Vincent Mousseau, Uwayo Dushime and artists, Ngabo (Ambassador) and Backxwash (nominated for the Polaris 2020 Award), we will explore what invisibilisation in the media is through the perspectives of those concerned.
