Cité Mémoire, Dorimène et Alphonse

Complexe Desjardins is proud to welcome the 24th multimedia tableau on the permanent Cité Mémoire circuit, created by Michel Lemieux and featuring a text written by Michel Marc Bouchard.

Through images, words and music, this new poetic, fictionalized work tells the story of Dorimène and Alphonse Desjardins, the pioneering couple of the 20th century who worked hand-in-hand to successfully establish the first savings and credit cooperative in North America.

The 8-minute tableau will be shown daily on the great glass façade inside Complexe Desjardins every 30 minutes starting at 6 p.m. from Saturday to Wednesday, and starting at 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays (schedule subject to change depending on events being held in the Complexe).

To listen to the soundtrack and story, available in four languages, download the free Montréal en Histoires mobile app. We suggest you bring your own headphones and download the app and content prior to your visit. Two listening zones with speakers have also been clearly identified inside the Complexe where you may enjoy the projection with sound.
