In this dizzying film, Simon Beaulieu ponders the survival of the human species at a time when social media and the environmental crisis are sounding alarms for an imminent end of the world. Repositioning the viewer at the centre of a radical and political cinematic experience, this documentary tale assembles real footage, first-person perspectives and archival materials into a formal and narrative structure in which the real and the fake intermingle. In a world where new technologies are constantly blurring the boundaries of reality, the director asks terrifying but necessary questions about our relationship with the future, thanks to the enormous transgressive power of images.
