She was already on L’Isle-aux-Coudres when Pierre Perrault landed on the island in 1962 to film the legendary Pour la suite du monde. At the heart of the director’s work, and the great adventure of direct cinema, was his wife, Yolande Simard. La fille du cratère finally helps us get to know this exceptional woman. A friend of the RVQCs, Yolande left us this summer. Thanks to this film, she will never be forgotten.
