LES BARBARES DE LA MALBAIE

Jean-Philippe has always idolized his cousin Yves, a former NHL star who now plays for an amateur team. Jean-Philippe has only one ambition: to become a player agent. When the Yves’ team, the Malbaie Barbares, has a big Canadian championship game in Thunder Bay, the two decide to drive there together. This bittersweet comedy – the first big film role Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques, delivering an irreverent, melancholy but engaging portrayal of a washed-up hockey player – is a poignant road movie in which disillusionment and the loss of innocence go hand in hand with the most unifying of sports.
