Gina, Henry, Dave, Rick, Annie and Barry have been left to their solitude and mental health issues. When the host of the Action Line radio show, Peter Warren, becomes a cultural phenomenon in 1980s Winnipeg, these quirky people start writing to the controversial host to share their fears and strange obsessions. Inspired by real messages received and saved by the journalist, Ryan McKenna’s remarkable ensemble film is organized like a photo album, in gorgeous black and white, and deftly blended with a strange, grey portrait of the Manitoba capital.
