L'ENCHANTEMENT DU VIOLON INDIEN

Festival Accès Asie, in collaboration with Kabir Centre and TD Canada Trust, invites you to discover Carnatic music, a traditional music of India with the artist Dr. L. Subramaniam. This accomplished virtuoso violinist and revolutionary musician will take you on a journey through the history of this music and its different forms, between improvisation and poetic homage. He will be joined by his two loyal musicians, Anindo Chatterjee, tabla player, percussion from North India and by Mahesh Krishnamurthy, mridangam player, percussion from South India which are two essential instruments in Indian classical music. It’s a great pleasure to also announce that his 7-year-old grand daughter, Mahati Subramaniam, will be with joining us.
