The Korean filmmaker creates works where animation, visual arts and philosophy converge. Man on the Chair won her the Cristal Award, the highest distinction in the short film category at the 2014 Annecy Festival. Dahee Jeong’s cinema is one of the poetic metaphors. Her approach to animation bears the mark of her sensitivity towards the visual arts. Movements, her most recent short film is a philosophical, scientific and funny film that was developed as part of the Cinémathèque québécoise’s 2017 Animation Residency.
