Brilliant narration, puppet theatre, animation, archival footage, vocal music, eccentric performances, a parodic makingof: the filmmaker brings plenty of talent and humour and plethora of cinematic techniques to her mockery of the patriarchy, obscurantism and every form of institutionalized oppression. Part autobiography, part fiction and part broadside, the film is an inventive, irreverent delight.
