Take a trip to Latin America with the irresistible tropical beats of Movimiento! Three pairs of competition-calibre dancers will put on an amazing show featuring several Latin dances – salsa, cha-cha-cha, samba, rumba, paso doble and jive – in a captivating and colourful setting.

Avid dancers since childhood, Alise Dombrovsky and Sandu Babira have been competing as a team for six years. After being crowned Canadian champions in the under-21 category a few years ago, they made the top 30 at the Blackpool (England) Dance Festival and 12th at an international competition in Paris. But it was their participation in the first season of the television show Révolution that made them audience favourites.

Competitive dance partners for about three years, Emma and Bruno recently took 7th place at the Canadian championships in Gatineau in the open Latin category. They also charmed us with their excellent performances during the first season of Révolution, in the season finale of Les dieux de la danse and the video for the song Mon tailleur by Sally Folk.

Even though they’ve only been dancing together for six months, there’s obvious chemistry between Maryse and Remy ! Dance instructors in Montreal and Ottawa respectively, they have each won prestigious dance competitions. Maryse has also given breathtaking performances on Révolution and Les dieux de la danse. United by a passion for dance, Maryse and Remy have been commuting between Montreal and Ottawa twice a week to rehearse for their first competitions as a team this fall.
