From March 2nd till March 30th, 2019.

“ [...] the veil of deception, which blinds the eyes of mortals, and makes them behold a world of which they cannot say either that it is or that it is not: for it is like a dream; it is like sunshine on the sand which the traveler takes from afar for water, or the stray piece of rope he mistakes for a snake.” - Arthur Schopenhauer. The World as Will and Representation, trans. E. F. J. Payne, New York: Dover Publications, 1969, p. 31.

This exhibition, conceived as a formal and material representation of the above quote from pessimist philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, has also proven itself to be a conceptual transposition of contemporary society. The society in question is a dislocated, disembodied, stagnant and neurotic structure that never seems to cease dreaming of a long-lost Eden; an allusive dream-state nevertheless garbled by economic and ecological dissonance, political power, and technological one-upmanship.

Simon Belleau, Adam Bergeron, Mathieu Cardin, Jean-Philippe Harvey, Christian Messier, Mélanie Myers, Leslie Reid, Dominique Sirois, Anna Torma, Laurence Veri.

Commissaire : Jean-Michel Quirion.

Opening on Saturday March 2, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
