LA PRIÈRE

Distinguished director Cédric Kahn’s redemptive tale revolves around the spiritual awakening of 22-year old heroin addict Thomas (talented Anthony Bajon). Desperate to quit, Thomas is motivated enough to join an isolated community founded by former drug-users who have cured themselves through prayer. At the mountain rehab clinic, part monastery and part de-tox centre, Thomas first comes across as a lost cause, but collective camaraderie keeps him afloatand he discovers faith-based kinship, discipline, work ethics and even love with the beautiful Sybil (Louise Grinberg). He emerges from a place of darkness and abandon into one of redemption. But will the urge to run away overpower him?
