Une histoire à raconter : « Une école fait pour nous autres » (2017) is an updated version of the graphic document « J’ai une histoire à raconter » (2016), one of the 25 winners of the 2016 edition of the eponymous Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) contest.
The ongoing development of this project is a part of the research-creation process of Emanuelle Dufour, a PhD student in Art Education at Concordia University. It revolves around the production of graphic memories to present research findings and inform readers about Indigenous education in Quebec. It therefore builds on education as a critical tool for memory, awareness, self-examination and reconciliation.
