Liminality is a work that fuses contemporary dance, music and film production 360, in a collision of cultures and technology.
The dancers move industrial landscapes of coastal environments, Wales and India, highlighting the similarities that the two countries share and the transformation of their relationship. The cultural legacy of colonialism on India metamorphosis it to enter a new phase.
The ritualized gestures of dance in a 360 ° environment just evoke something much older than civilization: a connection to the endless cycle of creation, captured through movement.
Presented as part of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) , Liminality is a coproduction by 4Pi and the Society for Arts and Technology, supported by Coreo Cymru Danceworx, British Council Wales, the Wales Arts International and body presented as part of the UK-India Year of Culture .
