RUE DE LA VICTOIRE
Information on the activity
Dates to come
Mohamed is the world’s most common boys’ name. But this young Tunisian circus artist has never felt like a Mohamed. And no one except his mother calls him that – he’s known instead as Barura. After the revolution in Tunisia, he felt out of place. And so, with his friends from the Farouche circus, he went to live in France. Beautifully lit by Charles-Étienne Pascal and scored by Peter Venne, Rue de la Victoire is an impressive first feature documentary by Frédérique Cournoyer Lessard, an intimate and fascinating portrait of a man whose contradictions echo those of the world at large.
