Information on the activity

Dates to come

As strife and intolerance continue to define the current socio-political climate, we recognize the importance of working together, and the strength that comes in celebrating our cultural diversity. Music and cultural programming are used in Canada as a vehicle for the inclusion of immigrants and refugees. A major trend has been in finding the musicians among the newcomers, creating special intercultural collaborative projects, and establishing a dialogue that helps communities integrate into a new country. This panel will discuss how effective (or not) these special projects are, as well as innovative ideas in using music as a tool for inclusion.
