Canada’s preeminent hub of electronic music and digital creativity turns 18, taking the occasion to change its dates to August, expand its program and refresh its commitment to live performance at the intersection of music, visual art and technology.
Taking place on the Esplanade of the Place des Arts adjacent to the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC), MUTEK’s free outdoor stage is presented as part of the official celebrations of Montréal’s 375th. Privileging artists from London, Mexico City, Barcelona and Berlin, the program interconnects with local talents and runs from Wednesday to Saturday, starting in the late afternoon, until evening.
Wednesday to Friday: 5pm - 11pm
Saturday: 3pm - Midnight
Wednesday through Friday from noon until 2pm enjoy an international artist soundtracking lunch hour on the Esplanade in front of the MAC in collaboration with the Fashion & Design Festival.
Brasserie Harricana has brewed a Special Pale Ale for MUTEK 18 available during the outdoor stage. There’s also a series of unique cocktails inspired by each city in our Inter_Connect series. Food trucks on site include Quai Roulant, Bleu Homard, and Mandy’s.
