15 reasons not to be in a play by Alan Haehnel. Adapted by Michelle Heisler.

This is a play about not being in a play, ironically expressed through a hilarious series of monologues, duets and ensemble scene. From early traumas involving a glory-seeking elementary school teacher to possible disturbances in the global climate, “15 Reasons Not to be in a Play” keeps the audience guessing just what the next scenario will be.

Presented by Montreal Children’s Theatre Inc.

The Montreal Children’s Theatre was founded in 1933. The Theatre has been
helping children to discover their talent ever since. The Montreal
Children’s Theatre takes pride in getting to know every student, working
with each individual to bring out their confidence, leadership, stage-craft,
and self expression. It is amazing to see a child grow throughout a year at
the school having uncovered talents and strengths they never knew they had.
All of this can be learned in a fun and joyful environment, where positive
reinforcement is used while teaching projection, diction, mime, posture,
body movement and vocal skills, and of course the whole process of putting
on a play builds individual and group pride enormously.
