JAMNATION – PLAYABLE CITIES

A friendly two-day competition presented as part of the JamNATION series by the Guilde des développeurs de jeux vidéo indépendants du Québec, where teams of designers, engineers, developers, architects and students will create prototypes of games designed for public spaces.

For its association with the Quartier des spectacles, the Game Jam will have for theme "playable cities". The teams must therefore present a prototype designed for the public space.

FIVE GRANTS TO BE WON

A total of 50 000$ grants will be awarded by the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership in collaboration with the Médias numériques - Radio-Canada, Université du Québec à Montréal and IBM. Professional support will be provided for further development of the prototype.

The results will be presented in the spring of 2018 as part of a public event in the Quartier des Spectacles.

JamNATION if a friendly league presented by La Guilde, a group of independent video game developers from Quebec. The Game Jam is produce in collaboration with the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, La Guilde and Start-Up Numix.

How to participate?

Register individually or as a team (max. 6 people) before February 9 at noon. Game Jam registration is required and participation is free. Limited number of participants, register soon!
Game Jam registration is obligatory and the participation is free.

RULES (IN FRENCH ONLY)

On February 10, the Quartier des Spectacles will host the Playable Public Spaces conference at UQAM’s Cœur des sciences. The event will be followed by a 48-hour Game Jam on February 11 and 12, in which creative teams will develop a prototype of a game for a public space. Save the dates!
