This concert will pay tribute to the founder of Los Van Van, Juan Formell. They have been nicknamed the “Rolling Stones of Salsa.” In other words, they move around! Since 1969, Los Van Van, the legendary and highly popular Cuban band, has been performing its timbas on stages around the world. More current than ever, this Grammy award-winning group for “Best Salsa album” has also won the “Womex 13 Artist Award”, bringing them to the forefront of world music. They are big-time visitors!
