Some birthdays just call for a pull-out-the-stops celebration: when our favourite figure on the local jazz scene, “Roi du drum” Guy Nadon marks his 80th birthday and 70th year in music, we know we’re looking at one. In this his 31st (!) Festival appearance, it’s time for a drum roll… as we welcome the indefatigable timekeeper with a talent as remarkable as it is original, back to prove that he hasn’t lost a trace of his masterful touch… or verve!
