TROMBONE SHORTY

Discovered during the Grande Soirée Mardi Gras in 2010, this charismatic young New Orleans trombonist literally “stole the show” from Bootsy Collins the following year. After confirming his elite status with a fabulous performance at Club Soda last year, our pal Shorty roars back with a new album, Say That to Say This that brilliantly mixes funk, rock and R&B. He’ll present it with his faithful combo Orleans Avenue. The show kicks off with Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Chicago’s fiery combo consisting of the eight sons of jazz trumpeter Phil Cochran. Boom!
