Smetana evokes the course of the Moldau, from its source to its majestic passage in Prague, while Tchaikovsky dramatically and passionately tells the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet. All of this is punctuated by the lively rhythms of Dvořák's Slavonic Dances.
