Magalie has a rare condition: she doesn’t feel pain. She’s turned it into a career, becoming a viral influencer with shocking videos where she subjects herself to all kinds of violent accidents. But mentally… things might not be quite so intact. In the vein of Deerskin (Temps Ø, 2019), Dupieux’s new jet-black, biting comedy turns the emptiness of our era into fuel for psychotic madness and self-inflicted destruction. Like an ugly reflection, this satire of extreme narcissism grows ever more bitter and bleak. A vicious and ferocious film, carried by a masterful performance from Adèle Exarchopoulos.
