BLACK LIGHTS | Mathilde Monnier

Inspired by true events, Black Lights is a show-series-manifesto performed by eight performers that documents the daily violence committed against women. Renowned French choreographer Mathilde Monnier brings feminine rage and anger to life. Drawing on nine texts by female authors from France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland…, words become gestures. Emotion, derision, realism, and humor become body—a manifest female body! Black Lights is inspired by the televised series by Arte H24 (2021)
