A work by Darsha Hewitt and Nelly-Ève Rajotte

First made in 1959, the Wurlitzer Side Man 5000 was the original beat-box and the world’s heaviest portable musical instrument. The display of this fascinating device is enhanced with films explaining how it works and projections and audio clips providing an immersive experience that reveals the instrument’s unique, complex inner workings.

Presented from October 1st to 15 2015 at Goethe-Institut, as part of the project Common Space ?.
