WE’RE ALL FRIENDS HERE

October 1st to 18, 2015

A work by Sam Meech en collaboration avec Marilène Gaudet

This series of collaborative works is a testament to the experiences of people who live in downtown Montreal, and a critique of the role of the arts in a changing urban environment. The residents’ ideas and reactions are recorded and represented as a jacquard knit. Members of the public can participate by leaving their own messages using a phone booth or by taking part in a reactive knitted wave in Place de la Paix.

Presented from October 1st to 18, 2015, at Place de la Paix and Centre de design de l’UQAM, as part of the project Common Space ?.
