A production of the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership
Montréal-based director, motion designer and VJ my mission is to produce video content for cultural events, musical performances and architectural projections. I'm passionate about digital arts and music and fascinated by the relationship between image and sound, my ambition is to experiment and develop my creations in these fields. In search of visual purity, I likes to work on minimalist visuals, favouring strong contrasts and simple shapes and giving importance to small details.
Bruno Rafie has lit stages and spaces for over 25 years. His designs include 15 productions with Cirque du Soleil and 4 with Les 7 Doigts de la main. With Moment Factory, Bruno designed the lighting of 4 Luminas (enchanted multimedia night walks in the forest) in Japan, Singapore, and Canada and he was also part of the lighting design team on the illumination of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Montreal. He worked on various urban installations with Lucion Media, including Sphère Polaire in 2001 at the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal. Loyal collaborator with L’équipe Spectra, he designs the lighting of the main outdoor stage of the Francos, the Jazz Festival and the site of Montréal en Lumières. His design also includes various dance, theatre and music productions.
Bruno is also teaching lighting at Collège Lionel-Groulx since 2001 where he transmits his passion of lighting for the new generation.
