Inaugurated in grand style on September 9, 2009, the Place des Festivals is the first phase of an urban design project for public spaces in the Place des Arts node of the Quartier des spectacles. This 7500 square metre public place is a home for festivals, a way to liven up the urban environment, and a new spot where Montrealers can relax.
The fountain of the Place des Festivals will be operating from Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to midnight, as well as Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 1:00 AM, until mid-October.
