OFFTA

The perspectives presented in this year’s OFFTA summon magic as a necessity. The artists name it, the works chant it. This 17th edition is one of reinvested tenderness. The quest for exhilaration is palpable. Emancipation and healing are carried through delicate rituals and aching bodies; tales that opt for naivety to choose exaltation. Throughout the city, travelling through galleries, public spaces and neighbourhood theatres, live art infiltrates, it roams and welcomes us. It thrives to make us rediscover ourselves as creatures, meeting our bodies as alchemic vessels for joy. Whether they are fully ripe or in lab form, this year’s performances are generous, often festive, without giving up on being singularly critical. This OFFTA asks us to contemplate a caring and speculative landscape within which to exist differently. This festival is a call for enchantment. May this one will be contagious, sweet and exalting!
