As part of the POP Montréal International Music Festival, the Arcade Fire will perform a free concert at the Place des Festivals on September 22.

Giant screens
To allow as many people as possible to attend the event, there will be a retransmission of the live performance on giant screen on St. Catherine Street and the Promenade des Artistes.
Traffic and parking
Please note that the following streets will be closed for the concert:
From Saturday, September 17 at 6:30 AM to Sunday, September 25 at 5 PM
- De Maisonneuve Boulevard will be closed between Jeanne-Mance and Bleury streets
- Jeanne-Mance Street will be closed between De Maisonneuve and René-Lévesque boulevards
- Balmoral street will be closed between De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Sainte-Catherine Street
- Mayor Street will be closed between Bleury and Balmoral streets
From Sunday, September 19 at 7:30 AM to Sunday, September 25 at 5 PM
- Sainte-Catherine Street will be closed between Bleury and Saint-Urbain streets
From Thursday, September 22 at 6 AM to Friday, September 25 at 5 PM
- De Maisonneuve Boulevard will be closed between Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Jeanne-Mance Street
- Ontario Street / Président-Kennedy Avenue will be closed between Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Bleury Street
- Saint-Urbain Street between Sherbrooke Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard
- Clark Street between Sherbrooke Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard
- Jeanne-Mance Street between De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street
- Sainte-Catherine Street between Saint-Urbain Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard
- De Montigny Street between Clark and Saint-Urbain streets
Residents who hold a resident parking permit sticker (an S.R.R.R.) for Jeanne-Mance, Saint-Urbain and Clark streets north of Président-Kennedy Avenue, as well as Evans Street between Saint-Urbain and Clark streets, will be able to access parking spaces at those locations.

Bicycle path detour
From Saturday, September 17 to Sunday, September 25, inclusive
- The De Maisonneuve bicycle path will be closed, with a detour via Bleury Street, Président-Kennedy Avenue and Jeanne-Mance Street.
Metro
We encourage the public to take the metro to Place-des-Arts station (green line) or Place-d’Armes station (orange line), both of which are only a few minutes’ walk from the event. To handle the heavy crowds, the metro will run more frequently after rush hour.
Bus
Detours will be in effect for the 15 – Sainte-Catherine, 80 – Du Parc, 125 – Ontario, 129 – Côte-Sainte-Catherine and 535 – Du Parc/Côte-des-Neiges buses. The terminal of the 80 bus, normally at Place-des Arts station (on Président-Kennedy Avenue) will move to Saint-Laurent and De Maisonneuve boulevards (near Saint-Laurent metro) on September 22, from 6:30 PM until the end of service.
Bicycles not allowed
Due to heavy traffic, bicycles will not be allowed on the metro on September 22, from 3 PM to midnight.

- Glass bottles and cans
- Rigid Thermos, coolers or other such containers
- Megaphones
- Pets, with the exception of duly-identified service dogs.
- Bicycles and skateboards. There are two bicycle parking areas bordering the site.
- In line skates must be stored in a bag.
- Folding and portable chairs, during shows.
- Fireworks
- Beach balls, soccer balls, etc…
- Large back packs (camping style)
- Tents
- Video Equipment
- Professional photo equipment (SLR cameras, i.e. removable lens cameras)
- Audio Recording equipment
- No items intended for sale/promotion
- Any object that can be used to cause bodily harm

- Small back packs and bags/ purses (Note: all bags will be searched)

HANDICAP ACCESS
For the free Arcade Fire show, POP Montreal will offer 2 platform reserved for concert goers in wheelchairs near the main stage and a second wheelchair platform will be on Ste-Catherine street close to a big screen projecting the show. Those who have access to the platform are allowed to bring one (1) guest as company on it. A wheelchair accessible toilet is reserved at this location
