After more than five years of devoting himself to the Quartier des spectacles Partnership, Pierre Deschênes is leaving his position as general manager to pursue new challenges in the private sector.
"I am leaving with the satisfaction of a job well done. The Partnership is well established as a local organizaton, and is in good financial health. Much work has been done in the past few years: defining a development vision, creating a strong and unifying visual identity for the neighbourhood, and the achievement of the first phases of the Lighting Plan. The Quartier des spectacles is an essential project to renew the creative side of Montreal. Now, it is time to take this great project to the next level to address new challenges. I want to thank all the administrators of the Partnership and the terrific team I have had the pleasure to lead" said Mr. Deschênes.
Ms. Anjali Mishra, development director, will handle the interim period before a new manager is named. Mr. Deschênes will serve as a special consultant during the transition. The search for a new general manager will be determined over the summer.
The staff and board of directors of the Quartier des spectacles Partnership wish Mr. Deschênes success in his new role and in his future challenges.
