Main text of post

Montreal, November 17, 2006 – Earlier today, Minister Line Beauchamp announced a $6 million grant to Les Ateliers de danse moderne de Montréal inc. (LADMMI) for the construction of new facilities.

This grant will permit the school to build the facilities it needs to continue its operations, including studios, a studio-laboratory, exercise rooms and administrative offices. A total of 2500 square metres of space will be created, more than twice the size of the existing LADMMI.

The new school will be built at the intersection of Clark and Sainte-Catherine streets, in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. TheSociété de développement de Montréal, the owner of the site, will be responsible for the construction of the building and commercial spaces.
