RPCÉ 1 EN COMPÉTITION
Now in its fourth year, the competition of short student films is open to schools and university cinema departments across Canada. For three days, students and representatives from participating schools have the opportunity to get together and exchange ideas through participatory meetings, interactive workshops, cinema classes and networking, in addition to the screening of their film. This year, nineteen Canadian schools are taking part.
To broaden perspectives and encourage discussions, we invited a school from abroad to join us for a number of activities: Cine Institute (Jacmel, Haïti) is in the spotlight this year, with a delegation of three students and a school representative. INIS (Institut national de l’image et du son) is a major partner of this event. Conceived as a forum for discussion and reflection among filmmakers, these meetings are in the festive and inviting atmosphere of the Festival du nouveau cinema!
