Dates to come

Dansu presents two weeks of performances, films and professional dance workshops: a window on Japanese choreographic arts.

Marked by audacious, contemporary visions and embodied space, the compositions in this programme serve to introduce the eclectism of current day dance in Japan. This event features three choreographers with unique aesthetic orientations: Kaori Seki’s exploration of slowness, aromas and primitive movements; the strong physicality of dancemaker Zan Yamashita; and finally, Mikiko Kawamura, an enfant terrible of street dance.

In parallel to the live performances, dance will be shown on screen through films and videos by choreographer Saburo Teshigawara, the pioneer of Japanese new dance.

Kaori Seki : Amigrecta (October 18 to 21)
Mikiko Kawamura : Alphard (October 18 to 21)
Zan Yamashita : Itoh X Yamashita (October 25 to 28)
Saburo Teshigarawa : Dance on screen (October 25 to 28)
