Information on the activity

August 11, 2017 | 20 H 45

Orchestre symphonique de Montréal

Kent Nagano, conductor
Jean-Philippe Collard, piano

Ravel, Piano Concerto for the Left Hand in D major (approx. 19 min.)
Dukas, L’apprenti sorcier (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) (approx. 12 min.)

Two masterpieces by two peerless orchestrators, Ravel and Dukas, are featured on this concert. With Jean-Philippe Collard at the piano and Kent Nagano at the helm of the OSM, Ravel’s unclassifiable and technically brilliant Concerto for the Left Hand and Dukas’s symphonic poem The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, which audiences will recognize from the soundtrack to the famous Disney animation Fantasia, cannot fail to bewitch you!
